Dr. George Seabrooke is an astronomer and Principal Research Fellow at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory (MSSL) at University College London. He is involved in multiple European Space Agency missions – ESA’s billion star surveyor, Gaia ; ESA’s dark matter mission, ARRAKIHS (Analysis of Resolved Remnants of Accreted galaxies as a Key Instrument for Halo Surveys) and GaiaNIR (Gaia Near Infra Red) proposal to ESA.<\/p>\n
He is a key member of the Gaia Black Hole Task Force and contributed to the discovery of Gaia-BH3, a dormant stellar black hole 33 times the mass of the Sun.<\/p>\n
