He is involved in multiple European Space Agency missions &#8211; ESA&#8217;s billion star surveyor, Gaia ; ESA&#8217;s dark matter mission, ARRAKIHS (Analysis of Resolved Remnants of Accreted galaxies as a Key Instrument for Halo Surveys) and GaiaNIR (Gaia Near Infra Red) proposal to ESA.<\/p>\n<p>He is a key member of the Gaia Black Hole Task Force and contributed to the discovery of Gaia-BH3, a dormant stellar black hole 33 times the mass of the Sun.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be a presentation on the sky at night for the coming month.<br \/>\nIf you would like further details then please contact Anita King.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. George Seabrooke is an astronomer and Principal Research Fellow at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory (MSSL) at University College London.
